Intro

Veritas prep GMAT course was founded in 2002, and is a highly rated GMAT prep course, known mainly for the classroom-based courses. Veritas prep classes are located in over 90 cities around the world. The company also offers students an online course, or private tutoring. Both online and classroom is taught in an interactive course format.

While researching the ins and outs of standardized exams, we found -- when it comes to selecting test prep courses - most students have three criteria: 1. Higher Scores in minimal Learning Time 2. Price 3. Enjoyable Process. Our reviews will examine each prep course in accordance to how well it delivers on these three criteria

How does VERITAS PREP meet the criteria?

Higher score in less time

When it comes to a traditional (classroom-based) prep company like Veritas Prep, it’s hard to talk about “Less Time”, since most of the learning programs are set to specific dates. The “Classrooms” plans include 12 lessons of 3 hours (twice a week, 6 weeks), scheduled for a little more than a month. The 36 hours don’t include the student’s practice time at home. Also, there isn’t any personalized technology that can boost the students’ learning curve.
However, for students who treasure the classic “Lecturer-student” way of study, Veritas Prep will be a good option. Veritas Prep designed its practice test with the same adaptive testing methods that are used on the real GMAT test. The company collected data from 200,000+ students so they can build more accurate practice tests. This led to a computer-adaptive testing system that makes students feel like they are taking a real GMAT exam and get a real prediction of how well they are expected to perform on the real test day.

Veritas Prep programs include 5,000 practice problems and 12 full-length practice tests. After every test, the student gets a detailed progress report which measures their progress and score against the average GMAT score. Veritas Prep is one of few prep courses which offer student support during live online office hours, which is available for two hours every day of the week. Veritas Prep created an interactive whiteboard feature that helps their tutors to show students how to solve even complex problems. In Veritas Prep classrooms there is a low student-to-teacher ratio, so every student can get one-on-one assistance. Veritas Prep offers their students an admissions consulting, so they can improve their application and chances of getting to their favorite business school. This consultation includes everything from applying to the right program to reviewing the student’s application information, to assistance with interviews and more.
