Intro

Magoosh is a test prep company with crowd-sourced questions and answers. The Magoosh GMAT prep course ‘on-demand’ provides students with an easy and user-friendly way to prep for tests, online. Students can choose between learning for the full GMAT exam, or opt-in to take the quantitative or verbal sections only.

While researching the ins and outs of standardized exams, we found -- when it comes to selecting test prep courses - most students have three criteria: 1. Higher Scores in minimal Learning Time 2. Price 3. Enjoyable Process. Our reviews will examine each prep course in accordance to how well it delivers on these three criteria

How does Magoosh meet the criteria?

Higher score in less time

Magoosh’s system is quite intuitive and its interface is simple-to-navigate.
Magoosh tracks students’ individual performance and suggests specific lessons based on their practice, e.g. the system assesses their correct and incorrect answers and customizes a practice plan accordingly. After students answer a practice question, a video explanation appears with additional explanations to assist in solving the question.

The system also gives students feedback about their performance compared to other students.

The questions that Magoosh provides are relatively similar to those on the actual GMAT test. This way, students become familiar with all types of questions, and won’t be surprised at the actual GMAT exam.
The system provides students with the option to filter questions by type and difficulty so they can focus on their own needs, and improve weak spots.

Magoosh is priced at $219-$799. If students want to try out Magoosh they can receive a 7 day free trial with access to more than 30 lessons and practice questions.
